Harvey Jackson, who was arrested last week charged with distilling whiskey nnd resisting an officer, was pardoned by Ex-Governor Blease while serving a life time sentnee in the penitentiary for murder of Cassie Boan. Mr. Tommie Robinson of Bethel, Anson County, is visiting relatives here this week. The Presbyterian and Methodist Churches have eating booths at the County Fair grounds this week. Harvey Jackson and Dave Jackson gave bond yesterday before Magistrate T.- L. Teal in the sum of five hundred dollars, each, for the appearance at the spring term of court. S. P. Donnahoe was bondsman for both. Mr. R. B. Laney was in town yesterday, He is taking in the County' Fair. . I Mr. J. F. Funderburk of Dudley is paying his usual visit to this week to the County Fair.
