Hnyden, M. D. CHEROKEE COUNTY SUED Automobilut* Claim $13,000 Damage* On Account Of Bad Road Luther Spearman, of Kings Mountain, N. C., has sued Cherokee, South Carolinn, in the sum of $13,000 for damages sustained to himself, his family and his automobile last August while motoring on a public highway in that county. Mr. Spearman claims that a washout in the road was the cause of his injuries and that subsequent investigation showed that the county officials and the highway commissioners had been notified in ample time to have repaired the dangerous place, and that no warning sign or light had been placed at the washout and that it was carelessness and ne gleet on the part of the county and the highway commission that permitted the accident to occur. He therfore brought joint suit against the county and the highway board. A formidable array of legal talent will appear on both sides. Aatomobilists will watch the case with much interest as it will establish a precedent in this state. Are your children ready to start I to school in good health and vigor I this fall?
