It will be seen by scrutinizing article five, that all army veterans now living are eligible either to active or honorary membership. Veterans of the civil war, whether Confederate of Federal are invited to join as honorary members without expense of any kind. The wording first emphasizes the fact that any soldier, sailor or marine who honorably served the South is eligible to honorary membership,but in the same paragraph statps that any verteran who at any time honorably served the United States in any war is entitled to that distinction. Thus, the vet-1 erans of the North and South's great struggle are invited to join the same patriotic legion. Veterans of the Spanish-American war are invited to join. Dr. it. L.
