COTTON ASSOCIATION 1 MAKING LAST DRIVE Columbia, Oct, 6?A final effort j to enroll members of the South Carilina Cotton Association all of the formers, merchants, bankers and professional men, who have not yet joined, will be made during the next four weeks, according to an an- |\ nouncement made Monday from state headquarters in this city. In some sections of the state the membership campaign has been a wonderful success, says a statement 0 by the association. In others the cam- t paign has not been as successful as h the officers desired. C J. Skottowe Wannamaker, presi- b dent of the association, has issued this 0 appeal to the people of the state. n If you are satisfied to accept 15 F( and 20 cents a pound for your cotton tl you need not join the South Carolina Cotton Association. If, however, you c feel that you are entitled to a g living profit from it and that if you a are to educate your children and keep t< your family provided with the com- a forts of life it will be necessary for n you to get 40 or 45 cents a pound for n* it, let me urge you to join the asso- w ciation. it "If the cotton farmer will organ- p ize he can demand a fair price for his p cotton. The fruit growers organized ir and they are getting a living price for bi their poduct. The grain growers organized and they are now securing a la living price for their product. The cot- hi ton farmers can demand a living price la for their product if they will organ- ai ize. p, " The prosperity of the whole south ei is dependent upon the cotton farmers. I If cotton brings a good price the b; South prospers. If the price is low al and the farmers have no money the tl South suffers. The banker, the nier- gi chant and the business men depend la upon the farmer for their living. That is why they should join the asso- b; ciation. te "Reports from over the belt indi- Si cate that the other states of the cot- M ton belt are organizing strongly. I M do hope South Carolina will keep with P; them. I want to make this final ap- J< peal to the people of my state to join ? the association. The returns will S" be great." Mrs. J. A. Coxe, Cheraw, S. C.f ^ jays: "I suffered terribly from kid- tr uey trouble about four years ago and c'> the pains were so severe I was in con- m small of my back and would shoot up A ind down as, if a knife were piercing I1' ne. I had terrible headaches and I ^c vss so nervour, I couldn't stay quiet i minute. I couldn't sleep because ? ,he pain was so bad. My kidneys acted irregularly, too, and certainly :aused me a lot of annoyance. A friend told me about Doan's Kidney oills amd I took a few doses. I could feel myself gtting relief. I continued making them and in all used five boxes. Doan's campletely cured me." Price GO cents at all dealers. Don't jimply ask for kidney remedy?get Doan's Kidney Pills?the same that Mrs. Coxe had.
