Women's Missionary Society will
be held at the Baptist church on Friday
afternoon at 6 o'clock.

Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Douglass have
returned from Statesville, the home
of Mrs. Douglass' parents. Mr. Douglass
also made a business trip to
Grgensboro while away from Chesterfield.
Mr. 1'. M. Therrell received a warm
welcome back to Chesterfield after
his long stay at Mt Croghan. His numerous
friends here are highly pleased
to know of his connection with the
Farmers' Mercantile Company.

Service, at Washington, D.C., is
visiting his father, Mr. D. A. Camp
boll, at Ruby. The elder Mr. Campbell
has been quite ill with erysipelas,
but is now recovering.
