Cotton is passing through town on
the way to the gins with much regularity,
but not in large quantifies as
yet. In another week, it is predicted,
the season will be on in earnest.
Mr. H. M. Odom and Sheriff D. P.
Douglass have reached the Virginia
Valley on an automobile tour. They
will go through to the coast before
starting homeward.

of honey from the hives in his garden

has received several carloads of furn-i
ture which is being placed in the
new building. The plate glass fronts
and iron work are expected soon, so
