TO ALL TOWNSHIP CHAIRMEN |
The coming of peace has increased
the responsibility of the Labor
Boards. You will please send me a
statement showing your view of the
conditions in your township. Unless
the farmers are furnished sufficient
help and raise all possible food crops
the world is facing a period of famine.
The labor boards must continue
to stress this fact to the utmost.
In case of any shortage of
labor in your township advise me at
once so that I can have same relieved.
Send in the names of all soldiers, not
in France, who are needed at home.
On account of conditions which
may arise the county chairman advises
that in each township a company
of reserve militia be organized.
The proper equipment will be furnished
if enough interest is shown and
officers will be detailed for instruction.
