Says he has learned two German words which mean "get up" and "go to work." The Red Cross Christmas Bazaar is in full swing in the lobby of the Bank of Chesterfield. Many very nice and valuable things have been donated for sale. There are fresh home-made candies, fruits, etc., and a great variety of attractive articles. It will be conducted tomorrow and Saturday. The proceeds go to help our soldier boys when they need Red (Toss ministration. There is a suggestion on the first page of this paper that ought to he acted upon by every parent in Chesterfield County. Buy a thrift stamp for 2o cents, paste it on the card furnished by the government and present to every child in the family. Then instruct that child to save his or her pennies and nickels and with eucn quarter thus saved buy another thrift slump.When 1G of these stamps are accumulated they may he exchanged for a War Savings Stamp by the payment of a few cents addition.
