I AT TEAL'S MILL PROPERTY
Dr. D. T. Teal some weeks ago began
the development of the waterpower
at his mill pond on the Society
Hill Road half-way between Chesterfield
and Cheraw.
With the improvements being made
Dr. Teal hopes to develope about MOO
horse-power, using three 100 horj>power
turbines. The pond oovr
about 800 acres and contains en enormous
amount of water.
The doctor has not yet made known
his plans in detail. It is assumed that

On Thursdny morning, July 2(>th, ]
the Death an>;el visited the home of I
Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Thurman, Jr., of j
Ruby, and bore away the Spirit of
their little babe. j
Little Carrie was about 1'? months j
old, sweet and affectionate child, j
loved and admired by everyone that
know hor, un<l though the little* dar- 1
linK had been sick a lonjr time and
suffered much, it was hard to yrive up j
the precious little jewel. Nothing j
that loving hands or medical aid could j
do was neglected, however <!nd in his
almighty wisdom saw fit to take the j
'ittle one home to Him. j
The little body was laid to rest the I
following day in tile llopewell (Vine- j
f.ery, with burial services conducted ;
by liev J. I). I'urvis, in the presence j
of a host of friends. 'j
