PATE GOING WENT BUT CAME BACK Because Pate Going had developed a tendency to go into other people s chicken coops there was a magistrate's warrant issued Saturday for his arrest. The warrant was in the hands of a magistrate's constable and our chief of police, Mr. B. B. Melton, was asked to look out for him. Mr. Melton went after Going and made the arrest. Going was then given to the constable for safe keeping. The constable started for the jail, and Pate went along, part of the way, when he decided it was time to be going. This company is 101 strong, which means there is still room for a few more red-blooded Chesterfield County boys. He thinks he has about the finest bunch of boys evei brought together. They already have a high standing and he. expects them to become the crack company of the regiment. Capt. Gillespie is temporarily detached from his company and is in charge of field engineering on part of the Cantonment work. In his absence I.ieut. W. A. Mulloy is in charge of the company.
