satisfactory results from 1(5 [
cotton production demonstrations
carried on in the county this year.
The demonstrations were sponsored
by the local Negro Farm Bureau
chapter.?
Robinson said boll counts have
been made to estimate fields. Top
three producers in t-he contest ac-^
cording to the boll counts, with j
the per-acre yield of" seed cotton
for each, follow: Ed Mercer, 2,67.3
pounds; Klridge Mercer, and Edclie
Moore, 2,23.3 pounds.
The county agent pointed out
that all 16 demonstrators produced
a bale or more per acre.
