In'the midst of a beautiful
spring day with the tree showing
their green coats, flowers bursting
with blooms and the sweet melodies
of the birds we observed ano-__
ther"'TSabhSth giving praise and
thanks for the wonderful* works
- - and the rich blessings oT our Lord
and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I _ Qur morning worship began in ?
, the usual manner following the regular
order of service. The Senior
choir of which Mr. M. S. Grant is
ohbrister, furnished the music for
the day. Prayer was given l>y Rev.
Campbell and the Scripture lesson
taken from Psalms 37:12 was read
by Rev. Stroble.
^. i. t
? Aside from being blessed with
having a beautiful day in which to
worship, we were highly honored
with having as our guest minister,
. Rev Ti. Ti Farmer, Presiding Flld er
of the Mt. Pleasant District.-Rev..
Farjnei\ lirought r greetings
from all of the other churches in
the district and expressed his glad
ness in coming-to Morris Brown
Church. His sermon was most dynamic
and encouraging. The text
of his sermon was taken from 126
Psalm, 37 verse. The theme of
-j > M ,which was "The Lord Hath Done
Great Things For Us Wherefore
We Are Glad." In his inspiring ser
mon, Rev. Farmer mentioned a few
, of the many things that the Lord,
.1 # ?
.lid*, none iw??amoog?t-rterm*
being; He has given us freedom of
religion to worship as we please.
He has brought tis up from sla- :
very to a free people who have j
cade and who will continue to pro
press as~tong as we haive the Lord i
on nnr side. We enjoyed his scr- ~
mon so much because it was so
practical and realistic and one that
??reached the entll'V congregation.
The invitational hymn was led by
Rev, Quarles. Jesus' Blood Can
Make .You Whale.. It was quite an
impressive sight to behold various
gfOUOS standing <i11 over the
church acknowledging the day
Jesus made theni^wholo as the pas
tor went through every day of the
week while singing the song. The
spirit was truly in Morris Brown
Church.
Members of Usher Board No. 2
