all church goers. Sunday school
opened at the appointed hour wit'
all officers at their post. At 11:3
the pastor delivered an inspirational
sermon. His text was taken
from 2nd chapter of Phillipmm3th
verse. Subject Jesus The
Name High Over All. The sermon
was well delivered, and
touched many hearts. The Lord's
Supper was served. At 7:30 thr
pastor again gave an inspiring
message!Collections amounted to
550.00. Among the visitors were
Pvt. Fred B. Pratt, Jr., spending
his furlough wi'th parents and M
Glenn an old NeWberian. Both
made timely remarks.
We have quite a few members
and friends on the sick list. We
are urging you to please go see
them. They need your encouragement.

Last week closed a special anniversary
program leading up to a
HO years pastoring service to the
members and friends of Macedonra
church. "The honored Rev. P. B.
Mdodana, pastor and servant of
God for these good people tried to
show his appreciation in every way
for the faithfulness of all the vari- /
ous organizations toward his enlire
family during the period of his
30 years service. He first visited
thi^ church under the pastorate of
che Rev. A. J. Streater. He married
Mrs. Mary Kain of Maxton,
N. C.. and to this-union four child
ren were born, all of_ whom now
Mold college degrees. Tno program
was carried out each night by rejT

Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Daniel
of Manning, were the honored
guests of the anniversary. Rev.
Daniel preached the anniversary
sermon to a full house. The a(j);
mount raised in honor of the pastor
was something over $300.
