"Mamma" Timmons Passes
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice
Timmons were held last Sunday
afternoon at Mt. Bona (Baptist,
in Friendfield, S. C. She was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Banders
and was horn in 1841 in Fiienufield
of Florence County. She
was 102 years old when she died.
At ap early age she was married
to Mr. Chesley Timmons and
from this union was the mother,
of ten children. She was converted
in her young days in the Baptist
faith and lived a Christian
until the end.
In 1901, Mrs. Timmons moved
to Lake City in which place she
made many friends. /in<j was well
known as "Mamma" Timmons.
