BAKED PEANUTS
(A Meat-Alternate}
I lb. untavst<kT^peanuts :
3 1 can No. 2 1-2 tomatoes
1 onion
2 tablespoon* molasses

1-4 teaspoon dry mustard
1-2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon chili pepper
2 tablespoons chili sauce or tomato
paste
Soak peanuts overnight in water
t0 cover. Boil gently in ih
Mime water for an hour and a half
or until tender. Ti ere should he
very little water left. . Combine
all the ingredients and add to
the boiled peanuts. Placb in a
baking dish and bake in a moderate
even (.'150 degrees F> fo,. about
two hours or until sauce is thick.
Serves eight.
