She was somewhat puzzled when the Palmetto Leader reporter summoned her tc her door in order to apprise hex >f the 1 act that her Loretta was a young lady of destiny. She soon understood the nature of the visit however, and her face brightened with an entrancing smile as she exclaimed, "Oh. this is the most 'thrilling and pleasant surprise that I've ever experienced, and I do wish to thank yon kind people ?o very much!" Mrs. Jones has two other children, not too far removed in age to become Loretta's companion? when she gets a little older.
