Jamison preached from Corinthian 13: 13, theme Christian Love. 8:00 P. M. Rev. Jamison preached from Isaiah 1:16, theme Getting Rid of Sin. Each sermon was full of inspiration. Visitors: Mrs. Vermeil Stallings, Mr. Theofoll Harvey, Marie Harlcy, the studentbody of Schofield school and some members of the faculty. Second Baptist Church-. Rev. J. W. Miles, Pastor The Sunday school was well attended the lesson was very in structive. At the clcse of the les son a brief prayer service was conducted by Dea. Geo. Johnson. Rev. C. W. Turner preached the morning sermon, speaking from St. John 16th chapter and a part . ... of the. 33rd verse, subject Christ Comfort^ in Time of Tribulation. The time for the evening service was given over to the People's Charitable Aid society who celebrated their anniversary?with- a very?splendid program.?Rev.?S_ ??preaching. Mr. R. A. Brooks is master of the order. Many visiting friends were present. The many friends of Rev. J. W. Miles will regret to know that he is not keeping well. Mrs. Warrena Quattlebaum and Miss Eliza Mae Butler spent the week end at 'home, and returned to Jacksonville, Fla., where they are living at present. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Williams attended the association at Old Storm Branch church on Sunday. Mrs. Emma Moore who has been in ill health since March is very much improved. Friendship Baptist Church Rev. Ministers Hold Meeting Aiken Ministerial alliance helci their Tegular meeting last?fees^ day evening, October z 1st at Sun. day school room of Friendship Baptist church of this city. The meeting was opened with a ^fhort devotional service conducted by the chaplain. After these services were conducted, lh? tttWTlhR W&8 turned over in charge of the President, Rev. M. G. Mosely. The president at this time made some very timely remarks stressing things vital to the interest of the alliance. Among the things which he discussed was that of the alliance turning out in a group at the Immanuel Presbytia rian church of which Rev. L. E. G1nn is pastor where the Synod of Atlantic was to hold their annual session on Wednesday, Octo. ber 22. The ministers were urged to meet at Sunday school room at 7:30 p.m. so as to get to the ohvrch by 7:45 p.m. The president called on Rev. J. P. Washington to come forward and take chnrge of teaching the Sunday sAool lesson. Rev. Washington taught the lesson in such ? masterly way that all who Wre nresent ffot some benefit therefrom.
