Miss Wilkins won a gold watch singing over the radio in Chicago last week. She was theonly Negro contestant singing. Mr. and Mrs. Mayor Foulkes of Baltimore, Md., Miss Tbelma Der- 1 reck, of New York and Mr. and Mrs. J L. Jeter o f New York spent a week with their mother Mrs. Hattie B. Jeter 2527 P( ndleton St. They reported a very nice stay. They motored down. Mrs. Timothy J. Sullivan and son Alphonzo, have returned to the city after having spent three weeks visiting relatives and friends in Washington. Philadelphia., and Brooklyn, N. It was a lovely a fair and everyone enjoyed then selves.
