Phil/p Ellis The Free and Accepted Masons s of South Carolina are having the greatest session here in Columbia this week than at my time in the i history of this state. Hon. J. S. Stanbaek, grand master, has not I only put Masonry at the head of . the column in this state but shows that he is in a class to himself Grand Secretary J.E. Dickson is a Masonic wonder. Watch the Pi 1j metto Leader next week and yor will never read things more akin ; to miracles than that of the Grand Lodge transactions here this week. ] j The paper comes of the press just ??. about the time the Grand Lodge is proceeding to close which makes it impossible for a complete story nexlt^^issye^will4'riot \mly ^r^lease" the story but t-lso the cuts of the Grand officers. THE 111 RLE T ?o|. C.m.ln.; I Day set apart by the American I Bible Assoehition. It was expected that every minister would speak on the necessity of the Bible at one or both of his services but you would be surprised to know how few of them took advantage of th's opportunity. That's the trouble 5 with us in the world to dtyi We are placing too-little .emphasis on spiritual values and too much on things material. The President of ~*the United States, together with every state governor, issued pro. clamations urging the above re quest be carried out.' Say .what you \4ill but' unless we pay more attention to. these requests for -player" 3\v our National heads, this cOhntry of ours is doomed for destruction and that's without remedy. We will do well to watch the signs of the times. THE UNION The Ministerial Interdemmiina tional Union of Charleston and %> einity is indeed among the best in this country., irrespective, .of sections. Rev. J. W.
