S. C. Methodist conference is the
most conspicuous, a: d largest. The
territory in the state,' yet undeveloped,

yet unlatched for utilization, arc
just vast and significant.
This conference, like all the othei
Negro conferences are in the cen
tral jurisdiction. The S. C. conference
is situated in the Atlantic
area together with a group of fi"c

Alabama, Florida, Savannah, South
Florida. This powerful religious

school is still progressing and
opened at the usual hour with the

of duty. - The lesson was beautifully
discussed by the pastor and
others. We had a very good attendance
in the Sunday school and
everyone was well prepared for
a brief discussion. At 11 o'clock
-the?pastor ascended the rostrum
and preached a scud stirring sermon
from the 42 Psalm 2nd verse.
All present enjoyed the wonderful
message. This being the first
Sunday a large number communed.
At 5 o'clock the pastor, mem
hers and friends were invited to
a silver tea at the home of Mr.

interesting program was rendered
all present enjoyed themselves.
We- were also glad to have Miss

To ensure 'smooth ami even operation
of the .Selective' Service
program, coordinators are being
rppointed in every state, National
Headquarters Selective Service
System, announced today. The
coordinators will advise local
boards on., matters of policy and
assist them in the solution ol' their
particular problems.
The coordinators work out <>J
state headquarters and maintain

areas to which they are assign
ed. Their .activities in connection
with the local hoards closely resemble
those of the members o)

Headquarters who consult ttith
