Bowman | By special invitation, this cor. | c, respondent worshipped Sunday night at Ebenezer Baptist church ?on Lady street, near Gregg, pas-.. tored by the Rev. A. L. Peterson, ? Columbia revivalist. Upon arrival, we found the Rev. N. L. Bush "at the bat," preaching one of his best sermons. TUvTBush is prihcipal of the high school at Batesburg. It didn't take time to find out that Pastor Peterson is much beloved by his large congregation. Under his supervision, the church has been improved and the members took delight in telling this reporter of his greatness and service as a pastor. They think he is ^ one of the best in Columbia. He sang his favorite song' ',1 saw him hanging there," which stirred the large audience as never before People gave vent to their fueling and it reminded me of an oltLiime country revival meet^n^. The * - church had a rally and the following boards reported as follows: Jubilee Choir $67.78; Usher | Board $50.00; Progressive Club, ? ? ? $25.00; Musical Choir $23.75; Pew Rally $63.88; General public $27.13; total raised $257.54.
