Mae Irick, a brilliant young
school teacher died Friday evening
at the home of her parents
after an illness of a few days,
"i Funeral services were held at
Shilch A. M. E. church at 3 p.m.
Sunday, June 11. Interment took
place at Browning Branch cemetery.
Although sh0 was still a youHg
woman only 28 years of age, Miss
Irick had engraved hct name on
of the people-in- hei
home town and the communities
in which she taught.
She was a faithful and loyal
member in the church and Sunday
school. She was a devested
daughter and loving sister. Always
ready and willing to do what
she could for thP upbuilding of
^ "the Master's kingdom.
After completing her high
school work here in the city
school, she attended Allen university
one year, later completing her
^cojloge course in Education at
Morris college, Sumter, S. C.~~
She served as teacher in the fol
lowing schools: Pinewood graded
school 3 years; Dalzel school 2
years; Hemincwnv sehool 3 vpars
and Andrew high school 3 years.
She was a member of the faculty
of the latter at the time of her
death.

Mrs. Ethel Williams. Telegrams
and messages of condolence were

delivered the impressive eulogy.

She was the daughter of Mr.
and?Mrs. Charlie Caldwell. Other
survivors are one brother, uncles,
aunts, cousins and a host of
friends. Peace be to her ashes.
