Rev. R. I. Lemon, Pastor
s '
Last Sunday dawned in_jCharles
* ton bright and fair. Many churchgoers
were seen wending their

diences during the entire day.
The services of the junior- church
* were concluded at 11 a. m. at
" which time Dr. Lemon began the
regular morning service, using as
a text, Hosea 4th chapter and 6th
verse. An inspiring message centered
around the theme: "Destruc
tion present, where knowledge is
absent." The Sunday school and
League held forth at their respective
hours, wrth good attendance.
At the conclusion of the League
hour, Rev. D.A. Mills spoke under
the auspices of Class No. 56.
At 8 p.m. the message was delivered
by Rev. J. R. Hamilton of
the Georgetown District, who
spoke from Exodus 14th chapter
and 12th Verse. "Standing Still"
was the subject used by the
speaker. On Tuesday evening, a
splendid entertainment was ^iven
by Rev. Sims of New York, a t
which a large crowd was present
This was one of the most unique
affairs given for some time. One
of the members of the troupe is
absolutely blind, but performed
at the piano in a way that was
hard for one to contemplate. He
is indeed, the "Blind Tom" of today.
The other two members of
the troupe contributed the vocal
numbers on the program which
was indeed of a high class order.
Activity around Morris Brown is
as the time draws nearer for-tmr
rally, the interest heightens. Glad
were we to see Bro. Wins Johnson
at service last Sunday morning.
He seems much improved, a"d his
many friends were pleased to see
him out again.
"Mother's Day" will be observed
next Sunday with a program
by the ladies of the church. We
