Mr. Daniel B. Rcse principal of
the school introduced the guest
speaker of the evening, Mr. Roscoe

a very interesting talk on thc^

the Child. He gave several strong
poir.ts bearing upon this subject.
He emphasized moral traits of a
nerson in his community. How he
should cooperate with each other
and tiy to live with your neighbor
as you would have them to do
unto you. He left this thought
with the class: Always ask yourself
this question: What am I to
'o for the uplifting of my community?
He also mention the
National Health week. He stressed
many facts in regards to Negro
health in general.

"-ho always brings such pleasing
thoughts to her schools was called
upon just to say a word. She
gave some very impressive thotsj
on the advancement of the Adult
schools. She also emphasized the
Naticnal Negro week in the rural
schools.
We were also pleased to have
with us Prof. Richardson, principal
of the Mullins high school. He
snoke on the progress of?those
schoolg in the county. ^
Other visitors-were Mr?. .Hettre
Robinson of Mullins; Misses Helen
Goins and Ruby Brown of Marion
county training school. Theyj
were presented and made some
timely-rem arks. 'Miss Berry -frit*'
done much for her community by
enccruraging many of the less fortunate
ones to attend the Adult
school. Her classes have been increased
and the students seem to
see their needs for learning of the
present day. By her laboring
night after night with them some
have been greatly benefited.
The PTA of this school is working
very hard for the welfare of
their children. It has the honor
of Deing the best in county. It
has purchased everything the
school needed for the past term
and has been successful in installing
lights in the building. And
was the only PTA of the county to
send up a delegate to the association,
Mr. J. W. Bethea and Mr
John Berry were the representatives.
Mr. Rose and the ag boys are
very husy sprayTng fruit trees and
beautifying the yards around the
school, making the school very attractive.
