UNION BAPTIST CHURCH
The unusually large group of
students that met the officials in
Sunday school on Sunday morn-1
ing is evidence of the great workthat
the teaching staff and school
as a whole is doing. The laige attendance
is also a characteristic
of Ahe Sunday school since" the
beirinniner of the new vp?r Tine
to the promotion of the scholars'
as well, the intermediate department
is hard pressed for teaching
sace. The attendance of the primary
department, too, is on the
up-grade. We hope that the good
work will cotnynue and*-Hhere is
every reason to support this
hope.
The aim of the church for the
year 1939 is increased missionary
work. In keeping with this idea,
the pastor built his message around
the missionary works of
Christ and His diciples. A very
-Umpiring message wag?delivered"
Two persons were added to the
church's roll.
At 3:30 o'clock the Missionary
society rendered a very enjoyable
program. The occasion for celebration
was the ~instalation of the
officers of this auxiliary--of?thechurch.
On Sunday night, the pastor de
livered the sgrmon. "Go Ye Into
All the World" was his theme.
The regular monthly baptism will I
be held cm next Sunday night,
January 29, 1939. The public is I
invited ta attend all of the ser-1
vices of the church.
