Mrs. Eaufa Samuel Mai'shndteeb at the home of her daughter, Mrs Martha Dukes, Dec. 1st in her 84th year, uneral services were held at Galvavy Baptist church .on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rec. James Davis. Johnston funeral home in charge. She is survived by?seven children, - thir*3six grand children and twentythree greatgrand children. E. church Sunday morning to,, the delight of their mainy friends where Mrs. White was a member and choir member. On Sunday night they worshiped at St .Paul Baptist church where Rev. White preached. On Monday Rev. and Mrs. White and their two little daughters and mother, Mrs. N. Garlington, Mrs. Alice Moore, Mrs. Dora Sullivan motored to Greenville to visit relatives and friends. PAGELAND NEWS The Pageland group of teachers met at the Wesley chapel school, Wednesday afternoon. The meeting was called to order by the Prcstdennt, Mr. L. F. Brewer after which a discussion -Op Civics was led by Prof. Newman. Miss Dora Brewer and Mrs. Laura Brewer gave demofnstratiori^ of good citizenship on posters. Mrs. J. L. Johnson then taught a civics lesscm. Our Jeane* teacher, Mrs. M. L. F. Johnson ^as with us and as usual brought to the group many helpful ideas. She stressed the Christmas Seal campaign and plac ed spals into the hands of every techer. A social hour wa, enjoyed during* which the teachers of this school, Prof. ?>. Q.
