At 14th and You streets N.W. the New Negro Alliance has been fostering a - picketing of the Peo~ pie's Drug "store for several weeks. The reason they are picketing the store is because 75 percent of the trade is colored, but no colored clerks nor can colored sit -at the soda "fountain. ? - ? ' Now that is a good enough reason to picket, but if the colored trade cease, as it has to a great extent, where are they going to 1purchase tliuir drug goods. There are about twenty-or-twet* ty-flve~tho\Isand pepple who live in this immediate vicinity and most of them are colored plus thd thous ands who transfer at the comer each day. Yet we do not have a decent drvjg store here that peo, pie might make their .purchase. So what are they going to do, - walk six or eight blocks elseV * !- ? 1 * xca xur awnne du^ not long.
