The?10.')8 .<0'<;'ior. of the?State S.
S.^and-B. T. U. convention is still
the fceho heard throughout the
state. The many letters and' card*
ccrming to the office are filled with
warm expressions of satisfaction.

Poster Honors
The poster on the program of
the convention with Presidqet Candy
in front, Dynamo Campbell
backing him up, the district president;,
next, the district missionaries,
pastors, superintendents and;
the whole church backing the pro .
gram rpcniveil?many:?fine' cam pi i
merits. The one on Leadership
Training, and His Four Children
was too far removed from the ex_perience
of new delegates but it
carried a groat message to those
who far years' have tried to set
up the new program. Yesterday
It showed hcAv the men looked in
1906 and. was a great contrast to
us today. Many fine comments
were made on the Family Life
Poster and Knowledge of the most
worth. The art room as a whole
was very good and drew more
than 1800 Visitors,. Only erne cri
ticism was recorded and the lady
who gave- it was peeved because
her church did oot have a poster.
The Art Roojn was <5ttly a d^nrnTT-stration
to show what can be done
when you set your heart to the
task. The winning poster will be
announced later. Convention
Honors
For the best financial report.
Mrs. Magnolia Lewis received it.
She reported more than $108. R-.v.
Wm. Watson was awarded the
honor for the best reports from
conventions.?Springfield and Un-_ _
ion Baptist tied for delegation
honors. Prof. S. L. Finley received
the award for the oldest "officer
in point of service. The mos'popular
course went to Rev. E. F.
Riley. For the "best report from
a.class, R(y. C. A. Cherry in the
B. T. The awards for
the most interest in class- was a
tie and the Dean kept it.
The Morning Watch
The morning watch was the
greatest of all the sessions. You
could fe^l the presence of the
Spirit in those fine early morning
s*srvioes". They weje very very
good and largely attended. The
messages were .so satisfying and
the last day wa, the climax. All
marched out strrgirrg, O Lord, I
Want You to Move.
Thie Singing
The singing was all that one
could desire. The gospel numbers
reached the very soul of thp large
delegation, the largest since .,1025. |
The judges were not able to do- <
cide which was the finest selection 1
ar>d no award was made.
The 3. S. and B. T. U. Leaders <
Conference
The Four Point Program, Wor 1
hip Study, Recreation and Com- (
jnunuy Acuon win De carried to
every section of the state. Every (
county wilj he touched and the '
leaders will sit ira conference with ]
the president and Dean of Meth- i
od? and they jcrintly will gather 1
discuss the best approaches to putting
over this new setup. Thp office
force is w?orking day and
mght to ch*ck all records and list
th.. P0KOIll'POE of thu dDnnminatinn
and in keeping with the board's
request, to set before the state the
total program of the denomination.
Coordination^ and Cooperation
All held work of the is. {S. and
B. T. U. workers will be cooi'dinated.
.There will be no over
iapping. We will cooperate with
the Held worker* of the qther two
conventions and' will join hand in
nana to present the total program.
Sad But True
There are many churches which
do not have a BYPU or any organization
"lor the young people,
i here are many associations which
to not have ^my ur^anization for
tr.e women. -Many churches do
not have a missionary society.
.?iany pastors do not attend the
Vhutch School or take any interest
m?the ptople. Many ChureH
schools only have Two classes, one
ui' giown people and une for .
hildren and young people. Many
conventions have as many as five
.etnions. Your Byndmo will come
.o any community without cost if
ou will lot him know. He will
..onie and -help you organize your
.oices. SHYd fGrhini. ?
