Means, from Spartkinburg has given us some veal gospel with in. these few nights of services. We have been able to observe during this meeting that the spirit of God is needed as never b% fore. The people aren't worried about their souls anymore,. and because of that the evil spirit is guiding the destiny of the old and npw generation. ? The Ministerial Alliance pened Its services Monday, September 20 12:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist church, after closing out for the summer. All of the brethren were glad fo greet each other, and tell in-short their experiences duf ing the past summer. We are1 locking forward to a great session this fall. On Monday nipht, September 13 the F. S. A. or Young Ladies club of the church held a popularty con test of who will be "Miss Shiloh". The contes'ants running were the three youngest members of the club: Misses Bertha Reese, Queenie Snipes and Helen Bouknight. After a beati'fully rendered pip -gram, with Mis< E. Reese as mistress of ceremonies, the winner was announced and Miss Queen:'? Snipes was erownned "Miss ?hi ltrli" by?the Rev.?Thr/s.?Couko Then followed the presentation of ll.? m.nci.lnnt r,f t Vw? clllh Miss Ann re Wrenh. Miss Bertha Reese won second prize. These two young ladies are popular members of the younger set, . gnd we are wishing them much ilccess and are congratulating them, on their unceasingly and untiring efforts that made this contest a success. The quartei went over the top and the presiding elder with his esteemed and loving wife went home smiling; Shiloh was down, with her full number of o(fivers to' show cause why they need to. be attached and the presiding elder said he would? make 'a recommendation to attach them to St. Philip in the annual conference. Rev. Bowman opened the revival last Sunday night at Mt. Nebc Baptist chjurch, Wateree. All seemed to enjoy it very much.
