Pue to the. fact that this club
suspends meetings during month!
of July, plans for the Field's Day:
program had r.ot been heretofore [
discussed. A committee was selected,
however, to arrange , if pos
sible for some members of the,
club to attend the Field's day pro
gram; and carry to the 'home
whatever gifts the club is able
to secure.
The program for the day was
in the f6rm of a woman's maga^
zine. Miss Ruth Walker vere fit",
tingly read a survey of the news
of Negro women. All of the news
items were extracts of Negro mag
azines and papers and were espee-j
ially interesting. Poetry was- edited
by Miss Anne Stanback who
read Life by Anna Barbauld. Mrs. I
Ell Watson, rendering music fori
the occasion, sang Sylvia. Since!
most magazines for women in- I
dude- something about food Mrs.
D.H. Babcock brought to the ,clulsome
appetizing recipes for summer
drinks.
After an ice course the club adjourned
to meet with Mrs. M. A.
Adair in September.
