camp prog^m, rules and regulations
hne. We were served supper
and the remainder of the evening
was at- our pleasure. At
10 c/'clock w,. retired for sleep only
to lie awake for* about an hour.

r with a half hour for dressing and
the next half for setting up exer,
cises under the direction of Mr.
> Thompson. We returned to our
; cabins ta straighten them from
0:30 to 7:00. At 7:00 hroakfast
was served in the dining hall which
was conducted by Mrs. Thomas

and t^red. We had a good laugh
oil of those who called the hogs
and our sleep walker and talker.

Wednesday. At dinner we had a
very interesting visitor, President
NVhittaker of /State college who
spoke to'us. Several of the Spartanburg
girL and the *Y" girls
furnished the others with an amateur

Thursday morning our handicraft
period was taken by Mr.
Lewis, the white club director who

11,500 are of our race. Also
vut of this number none have
drowned because of the use of the
' 'Buddy System". Instead of hav-!"
ing our supper in the dining hall
it was served on the lawn which
made it seemed more like canii
life. After supper for two nrghts
we had a dance. Last night, the
Scouts invited us to their P.est
amp-fire, we in turn invited them
ttf our dance. Their second camp
lito was U'-night. W'e were again
invited. Their part of the program
was, in charge of the Senior
Patrok Around the camp tire we
rendered our program which for
the most part was stunt c. Gins
not taking a part formed in a

Burgess. After all this we had
a watermelon feast prepared by
the Scouts.
Friday morning Mrs. Lewis and
Mr. Thompson took the-girls for
a live mile hike. On the way back

| we returned; wj> found our breakfast
on the table. Mrs. Daniels
[and Mrs. Thomas enjoyed having
jus and extended an invitation to
i-H-f to rtay for dimwr. After which
I we ' returned to- make ready for
I Irtmie. While >here Mrs.- Lewis
told..ps the work of a Girl Reserve
! club; and we plan to do our best
1 to make our club a most successful
one.

church. She spent, several weeks
here and all were delighted to see
her. She left .for- Columbia Friday
on her way to Lancaster, where
