Under the new set-up we predict great things for the Rock Hill district. We were very pleased with the ' presence cf Bishop J. W. Martin, ' w*ho brought the convention some helpful remarks, lie was accom- ' panied by President J. S. Stanback of Clinton college. AND LEAGUE ANNUAL CONVENTION SPARTANBURG DISTRICT The Sunday School and A. C. E. League of the Spartanburg district held its annual convention at Santue, S. C., at Thomas chapel R. M. E. church, July 22-23; Rev. W. J. Robinson, presiding elder. The meeting was called to order at 11:30 by Presiding Elder Robinson. The church was filled with eager conventional spirit. Devotions we to conducted by Rev. Dawkins and Rev. Thompson. Prayer by Rev. Copeland. "Elder Robinson appointed committees and organized the group for enroilinent and registration. After a brief business meeting dinner was served and everybody dined sufficiently and enjoyed the good food prepared by the people of Santue. Rev. and Mrs. E. A. Adanisv, and Rev. Sanders Lewis came and also1 enjoyed a nrce dinner. At 2:30 the group re-assembled and Rev. Robinson introduced tin Revr E. A. Aams and Rev. Lewis. Rev. Adams and Rev. Lewis made helpful remarks. Prof. Robert Warper of White Hall made an inspirational talk Rev. J. M. Dawkins spoke frqm that was enjoyed by all. the subject: "What is America's Greatest Need Today?". It was fuliy jdiscussed. He said Religion is the greatest need. Should every S. S. have a Cradle Ro'll and. why was discussed by a young lady from Trvnity station. The annual sermon v/as preached by Rev. P. P. McFarland. He was at his b^st. A nice sum was collected and the delegates were assigned to their homes. At Friday morning devotion was conducted by the delegates from Shady Grvoe. A Model League was ci/nducted by Dist. Supt. arid Rev. T. II. Addison. Model S S. vyas conducted 'by Rev. T. E. Robinson. The Necessity of Trained P. S. and League Workers by Rev. Thompson. , At 12:00 Rev. J. M, Dawkins. delivered a soul stirring sermon af Lei- which dinner was served. At 2:30 Methods in Training was conducted by Rev. T. E. Robinson and Rev. J. M. Dawkins.
