Orangeburg; Kenneth Hughes,
Charleston, and T. J Miles, Columbia.
Aftei several delays the
constitution was adopt-ed, with

time, a state tournament was discussed.
Orangeburg was accepted
as the first place where the annual

In order to make the state tehnis-mindod,
exhibition matches
were played at the suggestion of
Lula Ballard and members of the
Columbia Recreation club, prahably
the most active club in the state.
Tfeerfirst exhibition matches were
played in Orangeburg when Co- _
