Those who were not present at Emanuel on the fifth Sunday, missed hearing two wonlerful sermons. The regular, devotionals were conducteu by the pastor, assisted by Dr. L. It. Nichols, presiding elder of the EdLsto District. Following these preliminaries, the elder was presen/totl to the congregation and he immediately arose took his text from the lifthteenth chapter of St. Luke. Summing up the first ten verses, Dr. Nichols spoke from the thepie, "The words of .Jesus." This sermon was indeed very inspiring.
