pointed out the value and importance
of the Home Garden on the
farm. He reminded the would-be
gardeners that r.ow is. the time to
plant spring and?su miner gardens.
For spring planting'the instructor
advocated such crops as potatoes,
radish, spinach, turnips,
garden -peas, beets, broccoli, .cabbage,
chinese cabbage, Kohl rabi,
lettuce, mustard and onions. To
this list he added egg plants, tomatoes,
peppers etc.., which may
be transplanted in the garden later.

the garden. These should be
planted at intervals during the

supply for the summer.
