MINISTERS WIVES ALLIANCE
A very pleasant meeting of the
Alliance was meld at the home of
Mrs. D. E. Dilliard on Marion St.
January 21, 1937. There was
juite a full attendance.
The eontinoais rainy weather
did not prevent the usuaL cheerful
faces that we are accustomed
to seeing in the meetings. It
does one good to attend the meetings
as they enliven and eheer us
on our weary journey. The President,
Mrs. Owens being absent.
Mrs. E. I. Duckett, our vice president
presided with grace and
dignity. The reporter, has not
had the opportunity of attending
the meetings for some time ami
was delighted tp meet some nev.
faces and others who had not attended
for quite a long time.
During the devotional exercises,
the singing was led by Mrs. W. J.
Robinson,. who led two soul stii
ring spirituals which helped greatly,
to warm up the spiritual life
of the mieeting. At the close
the devotions, Mrs. Duckett introduced
two visiting ladies. Mrs.
M. L. Grant from Nashville
Tennessee and Mrs. M. C. Durham
Who gave us two splendid
short addresses, Which were quite
in-tructive and helpful.
After the l-cading- of the minutes,
Mrs. E. I. Duckett presiding,
made a very sisterly talk on "We
should live and love each other,
and show kindness one toward the
other." She told us of the very
fine meeting of the ministers
wives alliance in Charleston, S.

She said she enjoyed' the meeting
