C. Mr. and Mrs. Author Nance. Wv notice Miss Robinson is back now getting ready for her school work at Claflin college this new year, 1937. We pray for her much success. Mrs. jSllen Robinson is home, go ing to work after the holidays to pay for his new 1937 Dodge that hp and his family were seen riding in Sunday. MILL BRANCH A.M.E. CHURCH Rev. I. H. Dozier, Pastor The" Sunday school opened at the usual hour with the Supt. at his post of duty. The lesson was carried out very calm and simple. Sunday was the first Sunday in the New Year and a great crowd was out to service. The pastoi preached about the young rich ruler and used for his subject: "You Are Too Rich". The Holy communion was given to a large number. The A. C. E. League met at 6 o'clock with a large attendance | Night service began at 7:30 p. m. Truly the many gifts portrayed?the spirit?of?giving ' which seem to dominate this comTmmity as hever before. Mr. Mose Johnson was -found Thursday dead beside the road. He was alone and evidently "took some kind of sickness which overpowered him and caused his death. It has been reported he had much liquor which no doubt caused his death. - Sickness is very great in this community. Your reporter, Ode!) The Saluda County held its sec-, -ond?teaehera-'-?meeting, December * 4th, 1936, at the Saluda Rosenwald High school. The meeting wa? called to order by the. President, at 3:15 o'clock, by singing "Higher Ground." Devotions were conducted by Rev. II. J. Trapp." Singing?;"If Jesus Go With Me I'll Go." The program next provided for a re port of the minutes. After which the president turned the meeting over to the Supervisor, Mr. T. F.. Hammond for the purpose of dis cussing thp teacher's manual foi Elementary grades. This information given the teachers was very much appreciated and helpful to all present. The program provided for business. Discussing salaries and longer school terms.
