A magnificient program has been arranged with extraordinary efforts for this special occasion. It is said fthat this" is one of the latest of its kind in the United States and the only one in the State1 of South Ca rolina. This air-condition heat ing system is specially according to science. It is noW in operation ? - The church is heated in a very ' short length of time. Our Sunday school, B. Y. P. U and church membership have already increased rapidly. It is marvelous how the faithful members responded to the cause and advice 01 our able pastor, Rev. J C. Dunbar. The Sunday school is doing wonderful work and is being j' operated on the "Six Point System". His text was found St. Jo~hn 4:24 He preached a wonderful and inspiring sermon which was enjoyed by all. . At 3:00 o'clock the young people's program began which was l_ very good. Come* to church?go to church. < PROSPERITY NEWS Last Sunday was a favorable day for the church goers around Shiloh. The services began with a very lively Sunday school. The lesson was fully discussed and ' very beautifully reviewed by Mrs. 1 M. P. Vance. The noonday sermon was deliverer immediately arltei-wards. The pastor selected a text from St. John 11:11 to deliver unto us. He used as subject "Personal Contact and Evangelistic Work." Lykes Fledger and her daughters, -Florence and Beru nie Lykes. They live in Greenwood, S. C. and were tho Thanksgiving guests of their cousins, Mrs. E. J. and Dora Dewault, Mrs. Mamie Fake and Mr. Salters Jefferson. T^ey took dinner with Mrs. E. J. Dewilt. Mrs. Mamie Fake went back with them where she expects to spend six or seven months. . Mr. Joseph Fake and Mrs. Sarah Burton have been here for some time with their kindreds (the Fakes) and friends. They are citizens of this community, but .have beeu reisdents of Detroit, fot 1 some time. We hope they enjoyed themselves here. Elitha Ros^nwald School Prof. T. A. Charleston.?Services at Morris Brown last Sunday were well attended. There was just .enough temperature to make the day pleas ant. "Avoiding Temptation," was the topic from which the pastor addressed the Junior church. Dr. Witherspoon delivered a splendid seimon at 11 a.m., using as a text the 90th Psalms and the 10 verse. The 'sermon was largely a sermon devoted to Good Health. The pastoruscd as a theme, Moses, a leader in personal hygiene. How to avoid the great White Plague was stressed by the pastor, as he delivered the message. Anrong"tfie visitors present was Mr. Geo. C. Johnson^, who is conducting a musical institute under Government supervision. Mr. Johnson wa; introduced by Prof, W. II. Grayson, principal-of Bimontorr Public school. Mr. Johnson sang a tenor solo, entitled "Consider and heai me, oh Lord," The solo was splen didly rendered and held the rapt attention of the congregation. There was one accession at this service. At 7:30 p.m., the pastor being indisposed, Rev. D. A. Mills preached from the text found in Isaiah 53rd chapter and 5th verse using as a suoject.: "inc L,amo us a Type." Rev. Mills is an in-' tercsting speaker at all tirhes, and a close student of the Bible. The sermon preached will linger i n the hearts of those who heard, it. Sister Emily Heyward of Class 20 was funeralized after the morning services. We are now preparing to beautify Morris Brown by painting the church inside and outside. C., after a very successful year as pastor and repairing the church which was very much needed. He( leaves us without any indebtedness on the church and is carrying enough money to meet all conference, claims. Surprise For Mrs. Brogden by the Ministers Wives Alliance On last Tuesday evening, Nov. 26, a group of ladies gathered at , the home of Rev. and Mrs. R. A Thompson. These ladies conv posed of the Ministers Wives and >ther invite.- guests, two or three car loads, with others afoot proceeded to the home of Dr. and Mrs. Brogdon's. The crowd gath ?rea at tne gate and began singing "Hail to the Brogdens." The bor was opened by the Rev. Brogien, and the group marched in the 'naZl way to the dining- room and back to the living room. Mrs. Brogdon wag in the kitchen; she didn't know what had happenej.
