DUt. "Fear" was- the subject of
the mornittgV message delivered
by our pastor. . Text . St. Mat-__
thew 14:27. Mr. Wallace King, a
t;ecent convert, ^connected himself
with the church and was assigned,
to the class of Mr. Oscar Simpson.
Worshipping with the large
congregation were the following
visitors: Mesdames Margaret Hammonds,
L. F. Saunders, Misses
Mary O'Neal, Rosamond Dizard of
this city and Mr. W. S.Devclin of
Greenwood, S, C.
The evening service was begun
with an overflowing audience in
attendance. Rev. M. Leroy John- j
son of this city presented the message
which was both interesting j
and fervent.?'Groat Joy came a>
the servant of God spoke to us
by the way#de. Among the many
visitors who shared in the evening
service were Mr. Samuel Green
Columbia, S. C., and Mrs. Char-j
otte Spain of this city.
Our revial meeting of last week'
was a great success and continues
rpF~anbther week being conducted
by Rev. Johnson in a very j
effective way. Along ~ with the'
closing of our two weeks meeting,
our pastor emphasized the
achievement of our two objectives
on next Sunday?namely the third
f|trartcrly conference and the fi- :
nancial budget covering our youth
movements during the summer. All
groups >of workers appointed by
our pastor three weeks ago have
and are busy at work toward the
successful culmination of these
efforts.. The f>astor commended all
workers for their sustained work
and effort ig the interest of the
church.
