opened at the usual hour
with the assistant superintendent,
Miss Lillian Harris in charge. The
school was reviewed by Miss liar

At 11:30 after the formal opening
the pastor selected his text
from Psalm 55; 17, theme, "Prayer."
This was indeed a wonderful
seffrion and many soul were made
to rejoice. Sunday night Rev. J.
Rhodes preached a sooul stirring
sermon from St. Matt. 6:13, theme,
"Kingdom Builders." The Lord's
6upper was administered. to an appreciativc
crowd at both services.
Stewardess Board No. 1 met

to attend the funeral of

president. The young folk
gave us a- delightful proeram
with Mr. Allen featured with his
cornet, and Master Watkin sang,
a very sweet solo which was enjoyed

All day Sunday was Holy Communion
Day which was adminis
tered' by the pastor with the assistant
of Rev. Dayson "Sunday
morning. The night services
were opened at the usual hour,
and at this time our pastor spoke

taken nothing; nevertheless at thy
word I will let down the net.

school entered vigorously upon the
study and discussion. All of th.
classes were regular as the teachers

to join whole heartedly in the service

Particular appeals will be

Rosary Novenas.
The primary intention of this
Novena, and of those to follow,
is the conversion of American No
groes to the Catholic Faith. All
who are interested in the conversion
of the Nogro race are invited
to join in making this Novena.
The "Petition" part of the Nothe
Feast of the Assumption of ,
the Blessed* Virgin Mary, August
15; that portion of the Novena
devoted to .^Thanksgiving", begins
on the 16th of August and ends
on the 11th of September.
