was timely as well as instructive.
Surely we are a great people,
when our aim is for the uplifting
of humanity, declared Dr. Dent
Each person present upbraided
himself on having listen to such an
eloquent address.
Wo were happy .to see th^ smiling
faces of old members and especially
the Rev. B. C. _ Burton,
who has returned to the city.
A delicious repast climaxed the

girls of the club, Every body enjoyed

we wish to- thank Mr. Willis Bates
for the party and we weret very
glad to have Mrs. Annie McCoy
with us, from Asheville, N. C. who
is spending two weeks here -with
