The Sunday School was called tp order by Supe.u..w??I55ft?i Gladden at the regular hour.? A large number of scholars and teachers were pi.esettt. The lesson was reviewed by Bro. Morgan, and Superintendent Gladden gave L / us a very splendid talk on a big% g?r and better Sunday School. The morning services were open-1 ' ed at 11:20 with Mrs. Annie M.I Fuller at the piano; after a brief devotional period our pastor came before us with a strong message. xext; JuiKe as a lather p.uvih his children so the Lord pitieth them that fear him." Psalm 103:13. _ subject, "Father." There were! quite a .few out of town quests worshiping with us Sunday morning and we were more than glad T~ to have them. The B. Y. P. U. met at 7:25 p. m. with Mrs. L. A. Graham in ' charge. The young people gave us a very interesting program, which consisted of poems, readings golos and choir selections. The night services began at 8:15 and our pastor spoke as never before, using'as a text these words: *'"Ifhou art weighed in the balances o and art found wanting", Daniel 5:27, subject "IIow much do von Weigh?" Let "us not forget that on the tenth of July we are to be favored with a great musical tieat by that great quartet from Sparata, Ga. Admission is ten cents. Ben Bellamy ar.d Henry. McCrae. Rev. Guiles ehoosed- his text from Luke 24:3030, "Behold my hand". Everyone . that heard this sermon went away in Uai's*. ' At: 3:30 the" Children- Pay program was rendered which was in charge of Mrs, Daisy Mortji. Everyone seemed to' have enjoyed it. The Ml. Zion Sunday School had V their nroirram at 3:30 also \V<> . were sorry that our eT&m-ises wore not on time. But the exercises were really fine * which was in v charge of Miss Guiles. I BROWN CHAPEL NEWS After four years of illiftss, Mrs. Josephine Florrie Jones, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 13, l'J3G, at the homo of her son, Willie Jefferson, Andrews Yard. She \vps daughter of the late Cornel*tou!s and Matilda Glutt?. She was Blown Chapel for 31 years, She was always ready to render her service for the cause. No task was too great for her, she worked iiitru ana eonnnuaily in the gospel field, from the time she was converted under the leadership of Rev. Wallace. Until four years ago, "she was" strikened wnth paralysis, and during her illness she did not. forget the Master whom she hired herself to 31 years. She will be remembered by the wonderful work'she has done. She is survived by one son, one sister, two brothers, thrbe nephews, eight neices, two daughter-in-laws, and seven grand children. She brought one of her local leaders from Charleston Co. We enjoyed the talks from these ladies and Miss Devaux led some | songs and games which we enjoyed very much.
