THE BLOCK "W" CLUB _Th*-Blook" W'" Glub-met Mon- " day night, May 18, 1936, at the home of Mr. Walker, 1500 Heidt St. A brief devotional program which included two songs, prayer, and quotations, was rendered. Entering the business part of the meeting, the minutes of the last meeting were read. We were very fortunate to hav'e with us, Mr. J. A. Simmons, Prin. of Booker Wash ington High school. William Lawson, our President, at this time presented Mr. Simmons, who was our guest speaker. i?ir. Simmons spoke to us in his own words, giving - both remarks of encouragement and advice. The costums were varied and very attractive lending charm tojhe operetta; The characters were: Cinderella, Prince Sun Shine, The Proud Sisters, Godmother, Bonnie Bees, Butterflies, Robin Reds, Sunbeams, Flowers of all kind and Rain drops. , . , Each and every one of the children was at his or her best. From beginning to end there little voices pealed forth with sweet strains and harmony. They sang melodiously, spoke with expression and understanding, the little dances were graceful and the leading characters wonderful.
