history.
On Monday night, May 18, 1936
the children presented the operetta
"Cinderella In Flowerland,"- ~
sponsored by the Primary Teach-'
ers. First in front of the certain
fairies were seen and their sweet
voices brought forth music that
was delightful to the ear. Just at
this point folk were spell boun 1
listening when the Chr. of fairies wands
set the mortal'Vision free
and in the midst of the singing the
curtain arose it was indeed, like
some magic power) a most ntagnificient
scene was beheld by all
Only training could have bro't
out the desired r effect. All ey ? were
opened with the magic wands
to see the bright wanders
of Flower Lufrid. The setting was _
that" of "royalty itself. A large
beautiful white castle with large
white columns, three arches with,
colored lights, the side walls,
ceiling and around the Castle was
a pictureque. scene of shrubborv.'
clinging Ivy, lovely flowers, col-ored
paper draped, baskets of
pretty flowers hanging from the.
ceiling and on the end of the stage
arranged artistically. . Daisies, .
Holly . Hocks, Tiger Lilies and
Violets predominated. The costums
were varied and very attractive
lending charm tojhe operetta;
The characters were: Cinderella,
Prince Sun Shine, The
Proud Sisters, Godmother, Bonnie
Bees, Butterflies, Robin Reds,
Sunbeams, Flowers of all kind and
Rain drops. , . ,
Each and every one of the children
was at his or her best. From
beginning to end there little voices
pealed forth with sweet strains
and harmony. They sang melodiously,
spoke with expression and
understanding, the little dances
were graceful and the leading characters
wonderful. At the end
of the P'ay all folk present had
only commendation and praise for
the little folk?The * tcac hcwr?had
no cause to regret for extra hums spent
in training the young minds
