C.>?Miss Rosa Reed former Home Economics instructor at Kingstree and -civic workei has met with much success during her first seven weeks ort new posi .tion. Miss Reed was appointed recently as Home Demonstration Agent of Allendale county. Since her appointment she has taken an active part in.the community and the work done hy her is second to none in the state of South Carolina. . .. The work of Miss Rosa Reec here has been so outstanding that it brought to the eyes o fthe of-, ficial here the need of an assistant in this work. Mrs. Leona Bing of :the citly was appointed to aid in this great work. Throughout the coun.ty she has been successful in organizing 18 adult clubs and 5, 4-H clubs equally distributed nvw. With the aid of the National Youth Administration, she has been able to secure a number of students aid in carrying out her beautification projec.t. Under the beautification project much improvement can be realized. The entire lower section of Flat street has been completely remodeled with -flowers-trees and shrubbery similar to that of a bolevard. Jrees HTTd flowevs have been planted and arranged in all geometrical shape know to man. Not only has this street been improved but many other plots under the direction of Twelve Divisions of Work The actual work of Miss Rosa Reed is divided into twelve major divisions as prescribed under the department. The major project in elude organization of clubs, nutri tion, home furnishing, meat canning, child development, poultry, "better homes and gardens, health and canning, dairying, clothing. There are a number of minor project, demonstration anj outside activities carried on under the work.
