Mr. Hunt is a recent .graduate

young and ot such briei expci r- in c.
His stage decmnm is of a nature
which lends an artistic atmosphere
to his words.
During his period of study and
preparation in Charleston, Mr.
n Hunt has served his community

k Have you ordered ydur bulbs
yet? If you have not get your
ord^r in as soon as possible. For
those who have their bulbs on hand,
the following' ,are a few hints for
Successful bulb growing.
There are two general classes
of bulbs. The Dutch group and the
Cape group. The Dutch group
consists of such bulbs as tulips,
hyacinths narcissus, crocuses and
' snowdrops. The Cape bulhs Consists
of oxalis, fro ixia.
xis and Others. We can readily'
see that the Dutch bulbs are old
friends while the Cape bulbs are
strangers to the average gardner.
The secret of bulb culture lies
almost entirely in the development
of the roots. If the bulbs are not
well rooted, they will not Tnake
good flowers. This is the reason
'why we plant in the fall;"they have
fall and winter to grow roots. This^
is the reason why. we should begin
at once to plant bulbs for indoor
winter growth. Out door
planted bulbs have .several months,
to develop roots. Indoor bulbs
should have no less than six-weeks
(according to variety).
