Rev. A. L. Ingram, Pastor
The new Inneree Sunday Schopl
Convention held its. 45th annual
session here July 2G-28. We found,
this to be the best session In 20
years. President Mr. Lake is 3on
the job, with the pastors and officers
of the county at his buck. The
convention carries a great delegation
in the field, >vith a group ol
strong pastors and following. The
convention was glad to receive the
day. school, Dr._J. J. Starks, pre.
sident of Benedict College, came
before the convention Friday about
3:30. His subject was "Carry
somebody with you for Jesus."
Dr. Starks stood the convention on
their feet. Pastor Rev. A. h. Ingram
commented by saying he had
known Dr. Starks for twenty years
we had never known him to speak
like this before.
?Friday nite Rev. J. P. Recdef,
pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Columbia,
S. C.t delivered a Sunday
school sermon, his subject was,
"Have Patience to receive the promise."
This was another strong
mssage that stirred the convention.:
'
On Saturday morning Rev. J. A.
McCornel representative of Morris
College came before~the..convention
his subject was "Religious Education."
He was another strong
messenger who n\ade tears, fall
from the eyefTof the delegation.
In the afternoon Prof Hick* representative
of Friendship College
made a wonderful speech.
Sunday morning we had a great
Sunday school. The Missionary
sermon was preached by R<V. E. j
E. Gaulden, pastor of Bethletam
Baptist Church. His subject wh<^
"What shall we do - with Jesus?"
It would have made anybody feel
good to hear Rev. Gaulden preach
this wonderful sermon.
Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock
the pastor, ~Rey. A. L. Ingram
came before the body and preachlast
sermon.?Thehouso was packed.
Rev. Ingram came before us
with the subject, "Hear Jesus, hear
the word." This was another
burning message. The church got
into a spiritual fog. About 20 or
25 people were on the floor at one
time at that hour it seemed like
the day of Pennicost. Our revival
will begin on the second Sunday
in August at James Hopewell Baptist
Church. The meeting will be'

to come home on that
day. On the Fourth Sunday in
August the revival will begin at
St. Matthews Baptist. It will be
conducted by Rev. Wallace of
Clinton, S. C. Mrs. P. A?.Ingram.
