Virginia State College the National
Championships will be held the
week of August 19-24.
As the Southern Open championships
start the ball rolling, in so
far as. major tournments in the
South are -concerned, (tennis .Tans
throughout the country will be
closely checking the -results to see
if there are any new stars arising
on the horizon. This tournament
is the only major tournament in
the nation where a full schedule
of events for iuniors: eirls and
boys, both jn singles and doubles,
are on the program, as well as
events in singles, doubles and mixed
for men and women.
Players and patrons may secure
accommodations at Tuskegee fot,
($1.00) one dollar per day.
The Committee on Entertainnent
has announced, an excellent
mogram on Wednesday evening, at

masters Of the sport will be shown
