State of South Carolina, Greetings;
Many changes have taken place with-:

our Convention in Bennettsville. Dr. ]
J. S. Earle who for nearly 14 years

denomination made great progress,
resigned the presidency to take up
the Supervision of the Mission workj

to fall upon -your humble servant,

taking up the unfinished task,
I realize the grave responsibility that
now falls on me and as best I can I
shall set about to carry on this'great
work of world redemption and human
:nd church advancement., No. President,
whatever may be his fithess can
well succeed or go very far in putting
over a great program without
the cooperation and support of those
witfc nvhom he has to labor. To this
end I solicit the heartiest .support of
every jnembec^.udUmrr-?denomination,

With the hope of carrying out a larger

Morris College
? Morris Cullugu stands as a imonument
to the Baptists of South Carolina.
The progress thus far made is
but >a faint indication of what yet
^ can be, if every Baptist will do his or
" her part. The hour has come when we
must stand our ground and quit ottf^
selves like men.. We can do it. Dr.
. Pinson, the President is laboring under
handicaps and fighting amidst a
crisis and depression unwitnessed in
the .history^ -of t-he?College: ~Bt". Hit
son should not bear thi^-burden alone.
This is our burden?it is a c[ase of
? share and share alike and we a 1 1
should play our parts. So far he has
wrought well but the success desired
and the aims to be accomplished will
not be, unless we give more._than.Avc
* have given. Morris College must
continue to'carry on the grclat work
so well begun. Dr. Pinson will be
greatly helped if every pastor would
? once a month take an after collection
for Morris College, and whether
much or little send it to him. The
next day. Its the many small donations
that make the few large ones
and if every church "wbuHTsend just
one dollar .a month, he would get
fourteen hundred dollars each month
for the school. I appeal to every
chuPch and pastor and to each Sunday
school to put MoFris College on
2 your monthly budget and then make
it as large as possible.
? The Morris College Rally which for
twenty years ha*i been an annual
affair needs your attention this year
< more than ever.
Let us heed the call and respond
S on Thanksgiving Day like men.
