At the evening service as the choir
was singing the last hymn Bishop
Noah W. Williams!, and Capt. A.
Simpson and wife came in. The
pastor asked, the bishop to preach
but he said he came ov^r to be#}*
the service and told the pastor to
proceed with his message. Rev. Jennings
used for a text Matt. 8:20.
The foxes have holes, and the birds
^ of the air have nests; but the son
of man hath no where to lay his head.
At the conclusion of the sermon the
bishop in hia remarks spoke very
complimentary of the manner and
spirit with Which the pastor delivered
the message And told the congregation
that they need to congratulate
