The convention has only had thro*
presidents, namely Dr. II. M. Moore
1906-1925] resigned And moved oul
of the state. Dr. J. C. White. 192530,
resigned and went to Winston
Salem. The present incumbent Dr
I C. F. Gandy inherited a great inheritance
In 1930 and he is proving worthy
of the trust, tho' many of uthot
th^t a layman ought to havi
been elected and so voted. Dr. Gar
dy has the spirit of Lincoln. Those
who fought his election hardest were
assigned fhe most difficult tasks.
The great expansion program
launched under the present president
has added new life, new resources,
new blood and today, the indeces are
that the convention wil rival vthe
Sunday School Congress in, interest
